Originally from the National District, she was called to be part of the national team in 1972, where she was characterized by her fine touch to the ball, which later became perfect for her teammates. Due to her multiple conditions inside and outside the court she was exalted to the Dominican Sports Hall of Fame in 1999.
The popular “Deyanira” represented the country in the Central American and Caribbean Games of 1974 that were played at home, where the national team won a bronze medal, continued in the national team at the JJCC in Medellin, Colombia 1978. The grana accommodadora National participates in the following 2 Central American and Caribbean Games (Havana 1982 – Santiago de los Caballeros 1986) Marking in 1993 in the city of Ponce, Puerto Rico his last participation in the circuit of the Caribbean Games).
He also participated in the Norceca Tournaments since 1973 in Tijuana, Mexico leaving the national team in 1994 in Colorado Spring, United States, “Deya” has participated in 9 Norceca Tournaments.
Thanks to his good work in the field he could show off his game in two World Championships in 1974 in Mexico and in the ex-Soviet Union 1978.
In the local level he was the main piece of the Club Mirador team, where he helped to win a series of triumphs in the Superior Volleyball Tournament of the National District.
