The selection of the Dominican Republic, under23 category, beat the current champions, the team of Peru, by 3 to 0 (25-14, 25-27, 25-17, 25-16), on the second day of competition at the Games Bolivarianos 2017 in Santa Marta, Colombia.

The girls directed by Wagner Pacheco continue, at a firm pace, in search of a new gold medal. Our team was far superior, and although it had a slight stumble in the second set, it was able to get back in the game and win.

With this result, the team from Peru losses the path to reach the gold medal, while the ‘heirs’ must beat Colombia and Bolivia to become champions.
